• check in

there were 5 grps namely: 1(pink)-Cocopah, 2(beige)-Lakota, 3(orange)-Cherokee, 4(purple)-Apache, 5(blue)-Yakima

• initiation ice-breakers with Apache

not successful at all.. waste time only

• Personality profiling workshop

the trainer was Mr Marvin Lim. he made us gather as grps and taught us 3 different kinds oh hand-shakes.

1. lumberjack ( each person stacks their hands over the other's thumb and jerk is back and forth like sawing a tree?!?!?)

2. fishing ( stretch ur hands out till the arms.. and den start tapping.. so it looks like a fish outa water flapping about?? )

3. dutch lady - marvin says u have to do it with RESPECT ( one person interlocks his fingers between both hands with thumbs sticking out pointing downwards. the other person will hold the thumbs and..MIlk! wahahz.. milking the cow handshake?? )

then we took MBTI (personality) test... and im INFP.. ( I-introversion vs extroversion, N-intuition vs sensing ,F-feeling vs thinking ,P-perciving vs judging ) hmm do u all think it's accurate??? xiao an, pamela and yue woon were disagreeing.. saying im very noisy and outgoing.. cannot be quiet and reserved?? hey y not la! dun u noe im very demure! =P haha..we agreed that i got spilt personality.. and Xiao an called me physco!

well i guess im introvert when im with ppl i dun noe well.. very obviously from the way i dun click with Apache.. dunno any single one there la! damn sad.. i dread every grp activity tt comes...cuz i'd have no one to talk to!!! and it's like so hard to say sth cuz got nth to talk about!? wad crap...oh yea.. also cannot tok crap to them!

but den again.. i guess making the 1st move alone is hard.. so awkward.. managed to make some friends though.. but not really my grpmates.. they were friends of my friends... (e.g Yingying, wei ting ) haha.. and xiao an gets to noe them also (thru woon) and also annabelle and pam (thru me!) tt's y xiao an's an IN like me! hahaz.. and tt's y we stuck together throughout the entire camp...

only during some grp activities den got chance to talk..cuz its a muz to communicate...so noe more ppl la.. though i would'nt consider them "friends" yet...

• Breaking new grounds - changing context

dunno wad kind of workshop this was.. waste of $, waste of time.. probably only michael & yingqi and the other ppl who were in the same grp as them benefitted.. they went to joo chiat and interviewed the owner of "jing zhen tou" the bun with curry chicken inside.. the uncle so damn nice la!!! treated them 2 BIG bunS!!!! jealous! hahaz

of all the places.. airport.. downtown east.. joo chiat...changi village...my grp went to tampines mall!!!! wth... i aLwAys GO THERE?!?!?

kk nvm.. anw was grped with michelle (wushu), charlyn (horticulture), victoria (fencing), and huiqing (art). we interviewed the 2 friendly ladies working in 'flower power', a clothes shop...den we went to eat at Gelare since we had plenty of time left... oh.. met Fat ced at long john silver there...

after that went back to sch.. had tea break.. den went to the allocated classrms to share wad we've done.. was in same class as belle, xiaoan and micheal...everyone talked about where they went and blahblahblah... but i din.. hahaz.. i totally did it on purpose.. cuz i din noe wad to say and i'd probably end up fumbling all the words...( i hate presenting stuff to big grps! ) belle also din give.. i dunno y.. maybe she forgot since she was juz sitting there doodling all the way... ahahz..

• bath/dinner

me and xiaoan roammed around sch in hope to find an empty and usable toilet.. apparently in the whole of VJ, there's only 5 cubicles used for bathing.. which was in the toilet at the back of the hall... so we didn't get to bathe cuz too many ppl and by the time it was 8.. we had to assemble at LT1.

• movie on leadership

this session so totally RocKS! initially i tot the movie would be some stupid documentary or interview or wad nots... but it turned out to be a REAL shoW!!! woOTS! yay!!

watched "Remember the Titans". it's damn nice.. it's about racism and football.. how the team learn to put aside their differences and to play together as one team..

[the Synopsis]-->

the film, based on a true story, takes place at T.C. Williams High School in Virginia. the football team (all whites )is coached by Bill Yoast ( a white). when desegregation occurs, black players are allowed on the team, together with a new head coach, Herman Boone (a black). this becomes a political problem as Boone's appointment to be head coach causes some intial fury in the community as well as the current football team. however, Yoast decides to stay on as the assitant coach, and things among the community settle down somewhat. however, the black and white players view themselves as opponents, even though they are now on the same team.

Boone sends the team to training camp where he uses a variety of techniques to help the players bond. finally, the players bond, and they return with a new found respect for one another. however, they realise that the community is not quite as accepting. their newly acquired open-mindedness is now challenged by family and friends..a conspiracy has even been formed to drop Boone as head coach; if he losses juz one game, the sch plans to give the job back to Yoast.

thus during one match, the umpire was being super kayu.. faulting the titans for nth.. the objective- for the titans to lose so that yoast can get his head coach position back. yoast realised this.. but for the greater good of humanity.. the team.. and due to his integrity, he told the umpire he wanted a good clean game.. so the titans won in the end and Boone remained as head coach.. many tot yoast was stupid to do so.. but i think this is wad leaders shd do.. be upright and self-sacrificial...i really admire him...

the team fought hard.. match after match.. claiming victory in everyone.. they finally got into the finals...but juz before the finals... Gerry Bertier (a white )(captain ) met with a car accident and was paralyze waist down....

he refused to see anyone except Julius Campbell (a black) whom he had hated most at 1st but eventually forged such a deep friendship with... i cant really remember wad their conversation was about.. but it was one of the most touching parts of the film..

from den, Gerry's mother and gf ( they initially could not accept gerry being with blacks) learned to embrace julius and other blacks..

at the finals.. the match was very tough.. and exciting.. Gerry watched it from the tv in his ward.. after a gruelling fite from both teams.. the titans emerged the Champions!!!! this could only have been possible bcuz they trusted one another and really supported each other on the battle field.. the moment was very glorious and it was a happy and touching ending in deed...

super nice show.. i give props to it!!! it's one show which is not only nice.. but also meaningful and we can learn from it..i'm planning the try to get the movie.. so that i can let the badminton team watch.. =)

• debrifing/lights out

we and xiao an went to bathe.. was like 1130 already.. den we made a bed out of the canteen chairs and waited for annabelle to come back.. ( she went to attend a wedding dinner.. so missed the movie ) annabelle reached sch like at 12++.. den we went to 7-11 but it was closed liao.. so we went back to canteen.. we were the only campers planning to slp in the canteen.. den yong sheng was roaming about the canteen too.. so we asked him about some ghost stories.. den said a few.. and we went to slp.. poor xiao an i think she had some shock cuz of the stories.. ahahz..
